BMB Laptop Checkout Program

Laptop computers with college-licensed software are made available to BMB users for checkout. At this time, the Department does not offer the ability to check out additional technology-related accessories (e.g., headsets, microphones, adapters). The laptop checkout period is typically one week with options to extend.

Students should be a Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology affiliates.

Laptops represent a significant investment in departmental success. Your respect for the equipment and the opportunities for students following you are appreciated. I agree to not leave checked out items unattended or unsecured.(Required)
I understand that laptops not returned or returned in an unusable condition will be billed at its replacement charge. Maximum price will be $1,500. All charges incurred will be billed directly to your student account.(Required)
When returning, please back-up all personal files to an external device or to the cloud, and log-out of all accounts. Each device is wiped of patron personal information and sanitized upon return. I understand that deleted files cannot be recovered.(Required)
Students are responsible for reading and understanding the above policies. The department reserves the right to disallow a user from checking out any of the equipment based on the specific user’s checkout history (including, but not limited to, returning damaged equipment, not returning equipment, or returning equipment late).
